METAL /MULTIMEDIA
Picture
I have 40+ years experience working with steel parts in a metal fabrication company.  Using metal scraps tossed aside, I decided to try to put them to use by  taking these sad, lonely discards and turning them into happy scraps of welded art: flowers, figurines, creatures, cars and more. I can create anything your imagination fancies! The pieces capture your attention from the sincere to the whimsical. They are unique creations crafted individually with scrap available at the time: metal spikes rods, slugs, and other pieces of steel destined for the dumpster or recycling.

I gather scrap metal and then start creating based on what I have found! I weld the pieces together, sometimes bending, cutting, and twisting. Next, they are cleaned by grinding and brushing off the residue and rust. They are finished with a protective coating to safeguard them from the weather. Hence, many of my pieces can be used indoors or out.

I love to watch people smile and laugh at some of the whimsical characters while they try to figure out what scrap metal was used to create them.
