My work is primarily influenced by the rolling shapes and the consistently changing palate of the ocean. While my approach varies, I constantly strive to create functional pots that embody the themes of movement and fluidity. This is sometimes translated into forms with the use of asymmetrical alterations, while other times it is represented by the colors used or the ebb and flow of certain glaze combinations. My goal is to create unique forms that transcend the boundaries of simply being functional, but also to employ an aesthetic rhythm in the pieces that allow the pots to stand on their own and with a presence.
