My love of art began very early in life. Initially wanting to become a commercial artist, I quickly realized designing cereal boxes wasn’t for me! I moved on to another art form: ballroom dancing . I still teach Line Dancing.
In 2011 I moved to the Wilmington area and was able to reconnect what I loved with learning new ways to create my art. It’s so exciting to combine acrylic paint work with epoxy resin embellished with sea glass, beads, crystals, broken shells, gold leaf or whatever I can find to bring my pieces to life. Living steps away from ocean is not only good for the soul, but it also nourishes the creative mind. It’s where my love of mermaids, sea life and the colors of the ocean emerged. My imagination tells me each mermaid, octopus or even jelly fish has its own unique life story - not unlike our own.
