I have enjoyed woodworking since high school when I learned how to play with tools and wood in my Dad’s shop. I pursued a career as an Analytical Chemist, but took some classes in art and design which I applied to several hobbies.  After retiring, I embarked on a more dedicated venture into the creative arts. I like to create using different media like wood, stained glass, clay, and machine embroidery. I also enjoy combining materials in ways that are unique, unexpected or whimsical.
