Like most of us who love this medium, I was captivated by the process and possibilities of clay the first time I was introduced to it. Although I stepped away for many years I was drawn in again during a workshop at Penland School of Craft, and it is still my favorite thing.
I am a studio potter and designer craftsman, making wheel-thrown, functional and decorative vessels, using high-fired porcelain. I strive for good craftsmanship, the artistry and work made by hand. My primary interest is a beautiful form, enhanced with surface treatment inspired by the natural world, through carving, color and crystals.
