Brad Eklund - Woodworker
|
I come from a family of woodworkers of all sorts and my flavor of woodworking is art. I lived in Steuben, ME for the majority of my life. After 12 years of dabbling in many forms of carpentry I find myself enjoying puzzle making the most. I am always searching to make something new and from this, I've come make a wide variety of magnets, bookmarks, keychains, intarsia, and my latest addition, wooden buttons.
Being eco-friendly is important to me. Nearly all of the wood material I use is reclaimed, reused, salvaged, or scrap wood. Most of the wood comes from the Wilmington area. No stains or dyes are used in any fashion with the occasional exception of woodburning. I have shared most of my woodworking knowledge with my wife Hazel, who is an enormous help in designing and making new work.
