I am serious about what I do, but I do not take myself too seriously. I really enjoy the effort and energy put into having fun with clay. I consider myself a folk potter of sorts; I love working on the wheel and I like making utilitarian themed wares that are for daily use and for aesthetic function. I also like to play with things on the whimsical side, mostly critters and cartoon characters; I enjoy the lighter side of life. In the end, I make the things I do simply because they are fun and I have fun doing them.
